Ingredients:
- 1 1/3 c sugar
- 1/2 c all-purpose flour, unsifted
- 1/2 pint (1 c) whipping cream
- 3/4 c milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract, optional
- 1, 9", unbaked pie shell
- 2 Tbs butter, cut into small pieces
- Pinch nutmeg
- In a mixing bowl combine sugar, flour, cream, milk, & vanilla.
- Pour mixture into pie shell.
- Dot butter bits all around top of pie.
- Sprinkle with nutmeg.
- Bake, 10 minutes.
- Reduce oven temperature to 350F.
- Bake another 30 min.
- Remove from oven when top has
- Cool to room temperature & then refrigerate a minimum of 3 hours until chilled.
- Serve chilled.
- Cook's Note: If using a glass baking dish, lower oven temperature by 25F.
